On November 5, 2025, a conference themed “Persecution of Religion and Conscience Globally” was held at the Palazzo Giustiniani — Sala Zuccari, seat of the Senate of the Italian Republic. The event was initiated by Senator Valeria Valente and organized by the Italian Center for Studies on Freedom of Religion Belief and Conscience. Experts, scholars, human rights activists, and representatives from various organizations shared their insights, and Christians from The Church of Almighty God spoke about the severe persecution their Church has suffered under the CCP, making this issue a key focus of the conference. Believers of the Church have faced harsh repression in China, and even those who fled abroad continue to face the CCP’s transnational repression.
