Christian Liu Changfen Sentenced to 8 Years and a Half by the CCP for Her Belief in Almighty God

Liu Changfen, female, born in 1968, of Zibo City, Shandong Province, is a Christian of The Church of Almighty God (CAG). She was a middle-level leader of the Church when arrested, and then in October of 2019, she was sentenced to 8 years and a half in prison by the CCP for her belief in God.

On November 15, 2018, the CCP launched a unified operation aimed at CAG Christians in Zibo City, resulting in the arrest and detention of 139 Christians including Liu Changfen.

On the next day, Liu Changfen was criminally detained on suspicion of using a xie jiao organization to undermine the enforcement of the law and held in Zibo Detention Center.

On October 31, 2019, under provisions like Paragraph 1 of Article 300 of the Chinese Criminal Law, Liu Changfen was charged with using a xie jiao organization to undermine the enforcement of the law and sentenced to 8 years and 6 months imprisonment with a fine of 50,000 RMB (about 7,158 USD) by Boshan District People’s Court in Zibo City, Shandong Province.

Now she is still held in custody, serving her sentence at an unknown place.
