Document Title: Spirit of the National “Almighty God” Special Remediation Work Teleconference
Date of Publication: June 16, 2014
On May 28, 2014, a murder happened in Shandong province, China. It was reported that six people entered into a McDonald’s restaurant and killed a female diner who refused to supply her phone number. Chinese authorities characterized it as a “cult murder,” hastily shifted the blame to The Church of Almighty God (Eastern Lightning), and made a lot of publicity about it. On June 16, they deployed a nationwide special campaign, the “Hundred Days Battle” to crack down on The Church of Almighty God. They have swiftly launched a full-scale escalated suppression of The Church of Almighty God, and arrested and imprisoned a large number of Christians. Below are published the speeches of Liu Jinguo and Chen Zhimin, Deputy Ministers of Public Security Ministry on June 16, 2014. Although the document is not affixed with official seal, the contents are highly consistent with the document published by the CCP official media about repressing The Church of Almighty God. And human rights activists think it is completely reliable.
